Better Outlast Launcher

Welcome to the Better Outlast Launcher (v2) page! This is a tool made for Outlast and Outlast II speedrunners. It contains everything you'll need to speedrun both games! This launcher is the continuation of the Better Outlast Launcher and Better Outlast II Launcher that existed before.

It makes it trivial to modify game options and bindings that are normally accessible only through game files, while also giving you access to many custom-made mods!

How to install

Download page: Releases

On Windows:

Download the setup.exe file (not the .sig), and run it. It will ask you where you want to install it. Default location works fine, but feel free to change it. Then just launch the app, and it should find your games by itself. If it doesn't, you can always set game paths manually.

On Linux:

Download the .deb or the AppImage depending on your distribution and run it.

Credits

This launcher was made by HayaiNeko, but lanylow was the one that worked on all the mods that you can use with this launcher. We also implemented the Whistleblower Censorship mod from superboo07's design.

I also received help from Symystery, Jay, axes, superboo07 and lanylow for testing and giving feedback.
